I need more fabric!!! ok, I’m done whining. I ran out of fabric for Cody’s quilt and cannot do anything else until I get more…booo! Here’s what it looks like so far:
Also I finished the baby quilt I was talking about in the last post. Here it is finished, and tied up and waiting to be mailed. Also, I made the tag using brown card stock and blue paint chips…it was fairly simple. I found a cartoony whale online that i liked and used that as my stencil.
I also patched up the hand sewn quilt that I made for Miss Kailee. I still plan on making the one that I cut squares for, but I’m not sure if I am going to give it to her too, or maybe auction it off…not sure yet? Any suggestions?
On another note, we are adopting 2 more fuzzies tomorrow from Texas Ferret Lovers Rescue in Balch Springs, Tx. Millie is such an amazing woman for doing all she does everyday for over 50 ferrets a day. We will be bringing home 2 more tomorrow. Look guys, if you are looking for a pet that is just a ball of energy and more entertainment than super bowl sunday, look into a ferret. They make great single home or family home pets. If you do consider a ferret, I would highly suggest getting one from a rescue vs. a pet store. Yes they’re so cute at the pet store, but they’re just as cute at a rescue and in more need than at the pet store. These are fuzzies that have been abused, mistreated, and not loved enough and need to be shown that humans are good…Check out http://www.txferretrescue.com and/or contact Millie about bringing home your new fuzzy or fuzzies. And even if you don’t or cannot have a ferret, make a donation to help one of the ferrets that need it. It’s almost like sponsoring a child, only it’s a ferret, and are closer to home. Well, as for me and my house, we serve the Lord and the sand man is knocking to serve me with sleep. Night all.

love the quilts, you are doing a wonderful job……..more ferrets…wow!……you need a couple birds too?? lol!
How are you going to get more material to match Cody’s quilt? I will keep my eyes peeled when and if I get to go out bargain hunting!
Thank you. I spent most of the day making ferret hammoks .. .lol. When I ran out of material, he was happy bc he didn’t want one that was all the same thing, but didn’t want to tell me for fear of hurting my feelings…lol. I am going to try and find some others and make his quilt have 3 sections of different patches…oh I know, I needed more ferrets like I need a hole in my leg…lol. And anything you find will definitely be put to use…lol.
